As many of you know, my research agenda primarily focuses on issues Black women face in higher education workplaces. One of those issues, both personally and professionally, includes problems of pay equity and security. I am honored to announce I have been selected as a 2020-2021 AAUW American Fellowship: Short Term Research Publication Grant!
This award will financially support me during the summer when I am out of contract at St. Cloud State (we are nine-month employees). I will be using this time to finalize and submit the findings from my dissertation on Black women administrators’ experiences with pay inequality.
Thank you, AAUW, for supporting pay equity for Black women, for aiding me in this research writing endeavor (thereby lessening my financial precarity), and for creating the conditions that will allow me to honor my dissertation research participants on this issue.
